Installation

You can install the ImgCraft: AI Sharp & Resize app by searching for it in the Shopify App Store search bar or by directly visiting ImgCraft: AI Sharp & Resize for installation.

Home Page

After installation, navigate to the app's home page. Here, you'll find a welcome message, the total number of product images, and the number of low-resolution product images. For low-resolution images, you can click on the small wrench icon to directly access the product image optimization page. On the right side, you'll see information such as your current wallet balance and the price per image.

Product Image Optimization

Click on the "Product Image Repair" menu to enter the product image optimization page. When you hover your mouse over an image, a small hand icon will appear, allowing you to enlarge the image.

Here, you can select and check the product images you want to optimize. The search bar at the top supports direct searching for low-resolution images.

As Shopify recommends a product image resolution of 1600 x 1600, it's recommended to optimize all images below this resolution. After checking, click the "Confirm" button in the upper right corner to bring up a confirmation dialog.

Confirmation Dialog for Product Image Optimization

After clicking "Confirm" in the upper right corner, a confirmation dialog will appear, divided into two parts.

  • On the left, the selected images are listed, arranged in sets. Hover over an image to enlarge it for viewing, and click the small "x" in the upper right corner of the image to remove it.

  • On the right are the parameters for image repair and cost details. Parameters include naming the repair operation, image type, zoom factor configuration, and whether to replace images after processing.

All parameters can be kept at their default values.

FieldDescription

Name

Viewable only by merchants, used for task logging

Zoom Factor

There are two types in total: proportional resolution adjustment and specifying width and height resolution.

Replace Image

Should the original image be replaced by a background task? You can choose to replace it or not. Within the next 5 days, you can rollback to the original image in the task log details page or update it to a new image. After 5 days, the images will be deleted from the intermediary server.

After clicking the "Submit" button to submit, if successful, a success dialog will appear, allowing you to choose to view the task details page directly or stay on the current page.

Clicking "View" will take you to the task details page. If the task is in progress, the page will refresh every 10 seconds until completion. On average, each image takes 3 seconds to process.

Clicking "New Image" will show the resolution adjusted to 1600 x 1600.

Difference After Repair Completion

When you revisit the "Product Image Repair" page, you will notice some new icons in front of the images:

IconDescriptionExplanation

Gray Exclamation

This image has been repaired and cannot be repaired again.

Red Exclamation

This image has been added to the repair queue and may be in progress or may have failed.

If you close the task details page and wish to re-enter, you can do so through the "Repair Log" menu, where you can see all image tasks and re-enter the task details page.

Congratulations! You have completed optimizing your product images.
